With the L’eroica Britannia and Italia around the corner everyone is readying there bikes for these epic rides ahead. It seems to be harder and harder to get the correct vintage components though. So the alternative to getting the vintage parts, people are turning to the modern equivalents. With the strict rules and marshals monitoring the look and style of peoples bike at the events, it is important to keep to the high standards.
We have a couple of things in the shop to transform your bike.
The legendary Nitto “noodle” bar. These iconic drop bars have that historic edge but with nitto’s heat treated process they will last years.
Dia Compe’s retro brake levers. These are essentially the same design that has been used for over 40 years, there will be no confusion and will look the part on any vintage bike. With cables routing out the top of the hoods, they give that look of the brakes that we all remember from racing around the neighbourhoods as kids.
Christophe pedals, straps and MKS sylvan track pedals. These both not only look the part, but the internals of the pedals are silky smooth and matched up with the zefal straps they will be a combo to see you through any vintage ride.
