The Klamper is probably of the most highly anticipated bicycle components of the year, With over 3 years of development to make sure it was as good as all the other Paul components. It’s design is similar in a lot of ways to most traditional disc brake callipers, The only difference here is the quality of the rest of the calliper itself. Where most callipers are made up of cheaper moving parts and plastic casing, the Klamper is made of 6061 Aluminum and Heat Treated Steel.
Paul have added material to the inner back plate to add stiffness to the calliper, they have also beefed up the outer material to stop any breakages mid ride. They come in short or long pull, so put them on your mountain bike or your cx bike without any problems. The adjustment works in the same way as an Avid bb7, where one side of the pad moves in and you can use the adjustment on the other to give a smooth sleek pull.
